      Hi everyone,

Okay so heres my issue, lets say that a child is in a school with its own integrated programme, is it possible for the child to choose another JC at year 5? I suppose it should be a yes… although i am not that sure, if so, how should the child apply the JC (must the child take O lvls?) Thanks!

      Cheers ^^

Yes it is possible. My friend in Dunman High is planning to transfer out in year 5. You will use your GPA to gain admission to whichever JC you wish to go.

Those may have been posted into the school rather than DSAed in. I have heard of some DHS students moving over to VJC.

Also there are a few cases of RGS girls moving to HCI because they want to take triple sciences which RI does not offer.

              Oh ?

then those who accepted Dsa offer :
not allowed to Transfer over from RGS Secondary to Hwa Chong in Y5 and Y6, to pursue Triple Science, are trapped.

same apply to those Dunman High students who accepted Dsa previously, but now wish to transfer into Victoria Junior college (VJC), in Y5 / Y6.

but VJC don't offer Triple Science.
why would Y5 Dunman High students be keen to transfer over, into VJC ?
VJC better than Dunman High ?

there are also cases of Cedar Girls transfer into RI, in Y5.

                  Time passed.
                  20 years had passed.

Raffles Institution (RI) doesn't offer Triple Sciences, anymore.

may hear reply direct from RI school, :-
\"RI does not offer the Triple Science combination, at the Junior College (Year 5 and 6) level.

Under the Revised JC curriculum introduced in Singapore since 2006, it is compulsory for students to offer a contrasting subject, ie.

Science students must offer at least one Humanities subject out of 4 content-based subjects, while Arts students must offer at least 1 Maths / Science subject, out of 4 content-based subjects.

more information on the JC (Year 5 and 6) curriculum, can be obtained from MOE's website :

                  http://www.moe.gov.sg/cpdd/alevel2006/index.htm
                  \"
