I take 7 from same agent, so change after that. Last 3 I get from a famous agent but just not my luck, 1st one can’t cook at all, fry potato in a blank wok with no oil no water, whole hse in smoke, lucky I came hm early once lift open can smell it ran hm and off everything. So complain badly to agent cos I told before i need a independent maid. Sent back straight. 2nd maid damn dirty, the foam that used to wash the dishes from blue turn to black due to whole foem mould. Then my kids white uniform turn from white to grey, I thought school change colour, later then know due to not clean…worst is cought her steal. she said money found in the washing pile, not steal, some found on the flood of my hse. So sent back, Now this one will be 3rd one… I think myself really not in good luck, not agent problem la. My previous maid work 7 yrs with me also from this last agent.

My maid will use hand to wash due to my husband is a driver need to brush the shirt, my 2 boys also need to brush the collars, but will use machine to spin and dry. Mattress cover, towers will use machine. Is it too difficult for maid? If I don’t have maid will do it myself as well…

Hi, no la..only the 1st Mynmar maid I had, which I chose base on bio-data, is like that..she's super blur type..the feeling she gave me was, as if coming here to work, is just a chance for her to see & experience the outside world! we gave up on her after 1+ week! But we didn't bother to send her back for counselling & we also didn't bother to 'talk' to her on our own la..
the 2nd Mynmar maid we had, was with us for ard 1 yr 9mths..but we got her after we complained to the agency's boss about the 1st hopeless 1..so the boss personally chose for us, base on recommendation from mynmar agency..this 1 is very serious in her work & very hardworking..helped us look after my girl who was 4yr old that time, & my new-born son till he's 18 mth..She's trustworthy, honest, simple, & appreciative..

My current Mynmar maid is our 3rd 1 & is a transfer maid..at 1st, also have minor problems like not aware of her duties, no initiative, not so attentive to my active 2yr old son(didn't noticed he put things into his mouth etc)..We had a serious talk with her, tried to talk sense into her & asked her why she want to come here to work..told her what we are not satisfied with her..& we told her if she's not happy with what we told her, she can choose to go back to agency to wait & change another employer..she suddenly change overnight & corrected all her mistakes & improve overnight! it's like the 'on off' switch turned on correctly!! now she can also cook simple meals..we were very relieved & think we did the right thing by talking to her..& we think she was initially simply being very ignorant, as in not so aware of what is expected of her..

Overall, hubby & I still feel more at ease with MYnmar maids..think they are more appreciative & give less problems (like boyfriend/stealing etc)..of course, there can be some black sheep amongst them, but think there are much more many black sheep amongst maids of other nationality..But this is my very personal view..don't mean to offend anyone..

A friend just introduced me to SLF Greenmaid’s Yvonne for Myanmese helpers. Saying that they’re SPECIALISEDin Myanmese helpers. Anyone got maids from them before?

On the same note, my current Indo one seems to wanna stay, sigh…

like dh and i always tell our kids = never try never know.

Agree...what's for sure is that if you continued to keep her, you're certainly going to get a very dirty house. But if you change to a new maid, you have 50% chance of better a better helper

Actually, can this maid still continue with employer, I think the employer would know the answer deep in the heart. Sometimes we already made the decision but just want assurance and confirmation on our decision.

So I really think if you cannot stand this maid anymore, its best to let go. Who know? Your next maid might be a gem. It is also very hard these days to find a maid who would work long with you because they have their own family commitments and way of thinking. Just treat it like extra help for you and if they don’t stay, get someone else.

True! May be peapot was right. may be I change another one may be better than this one but may be worst as well, only like gamble 33.33% chance get better one. Not easy… Of cos I know maid also had their own way of thinking and commitment but they also should bear in mind that, once they be maid, their main job must able to finish everyday. One day cannot complete can drag for 2nd day but cannot keep on drag and drag till can’t complete at all…Just imagine, when we work outside world, do you think our boss will give us so much chances?? Sometimes I really felt that if I let her transfer, do I just throw another bomb to another employer? Am I too selfish, as I know how difficult and high cost to bring in a maid and yet not helping but creating problems… But if I don’t let her transfer and sent her back, also like very bad as she never earn money at all… But why can’t they just work hard and complete their contract…Haiz…
