need to register my son (born 2005) for P1 this year and would like to try WG as it is very NEAR to my house even tho the sis is in P1 - JYPS.

heard if bro can get in, can try to ask for sis to be transfer into their P2 class. anyone had similar, successful experience?

had done PV for my girl in WG but failed to get a place.
we even ask MP for help to write letterS but stil got rejected.
not sure if this help to increase our chances to get her transferred. i mean if my son is so β€˜lucky’ to get a place later.

as i am working, my mum is looking after them. it would be very GOOD if she does not have to walk so far to fetch them…

          Hi there,
your senario is very familiar to all who fails to get a place in WGPS 😒 . WGPS is very \"hot\" in Jurong West area and especially in Phase 2C - it is really luck that counts πŸ™ So may I wish you Good Luck Good Luck in the coming Registration.

My DD2 is also registering for P1 2012 :D. Initially I was also thinking,\"maybe should let DD2 tries her luck in WGPS too.' But after much consideration and rather dread the idea of sitting in the school hall, waiting for the balloting results, decided just to go ahead and register DD2 in DD1's school πŸ˜„

            Hihi

Jus for all mummies infor on WG

My two girls Went to WG

Elder girl now in Nan Hua

            2nd girl still in WG

When I registered my girl at WG , it was just a new neighborhood sch , at tat time were were staying around jurong central no gd schs except rulang but which confirm cannot de so popular

Left both girls wen they were very young coz the papa had an affair with a china women

Both girls had always been in the best class , thru out all the 6 yrs... Conclusion better make sure yr kids in the 1st two best class coz it makes a dif according to my girls

Standard wise not very high as I had told them .... Even if u r in the best class n with in top 10 still unable to compete with the top schools ....

My eldest initial aim RV bad did badly so end up NAn Hua but no regrets wor according to her

Btw even though I am not with my girls today I still keep vey close contact with them... See me more then the papa haas coz he busy wif work n new wife ba

Anyway, this year my 2nd girl will be taking the PSLE too.So all I can say is dun depend so much on the sch ... Which I did not I just make tat both in the best class in order to get the best out of the sch ! Coz only two class will be having higher MT ( provided yr child's result in Chinese hv been good la)

as mummies hv to monitor their results n help them as n when they need plus listen to them rather then nag

            Good luck mummies

              hi champion

thanks! i believe i am not the only one going thru this. was hoping to see some nice news; so far never heard of anyone been successful 😞
anyway, been thru balloting THRICE during my girl time... my heart n mind kind of toughen aldy... haha.

              lims,

              thanks for sharing!

totally agree with u. i die die want to go WG is cos of the distance, not cos of good sch etc.
i mean sure the standard of the sch DOES make a difference but end of the day, it stil depends on the kids ability.

anyway, 90% confirm goin to try my luck at balloting... we leave it to fate.

true, there will be 35 PVs who will be secured the seat considering the past record -- ard 70 seats left for this phase

was told by a mom the critiria is \"sincerity\". but basically my understanding is they are looking for free labour not teacher nor professionals ...

                      Hi to everyone & ChiefKiasu,

I was informed to attend PV interview on this coming friday. I have heard that for the past years, West Grove did not set control on the number of intake for their PV, which resulted in balloting for <1KM in Phase 2B. Any news whether they will restrict the number of intakes this year?

Can you share with me what criteria are the schools looking at for selecting a PV? I need to know to increase my chances to be selected πŸ˜‰

No lah. They are looking for \"commitment\".

You must be committed to be available almost everytime they call you and that you may be required to do more than the required 40 hours. So, if you are being called up even if you have completed 40 hours, plse don't be rude and tell them that you have already finish your duty so they shld not call you anymore.
