        A wolf's diary...

My DD is working on a wolf's diary, knowing from my DD that teacher asked them to write the diary as a good wolf with 3 bad pigs. For the first 2 diaries, my DD wrote as per teacher's instruction, but after that, she wrote the wolf start to make friends with 3 pigs, the wolf make 1 friend each day, it was lasted for 3 days...I felt it was away from teacher's requirements, my DD insist her opinion.😓

agree! RGSS nowadays tough to get in !

25 years ago - back in 1980s, was easier to enter.
back then, we don’t have this so very high COP stuff, around 262.
I was only an average student.
back then in those olden days, i could enter, because we don’t have this COP thing back then.

don’t know when / start from which year … then they implement this high COP stuff …

nowadays, RGSS is like a secondary school where majority / many of girls from the 9 GEP centres all over SG gather here, plus all the top girls from all other primary schools all over SG gather here … scoring minimum around 262.

yes, if you want to enter, your daughter must be hardworking, self- disicplined type, to be eager always to learn things on her own. Must really work hard for it!

the only thing i am concerned about is … character building / moulding.

because i heard some girls in some elite school - are snobbish.
only 1 or 2 black sheep.

got one GEP girl in a Secondary school (she may not be from RGSS, she may also not have come from rgps, but could be from other primary school …don’t know what school she was come from) from an elite school was heard commenting in a canteen, talking to a non-GEP mainstream student queuing up behind her, saying - hey, don’t stand so near me. You don’t look smart enough to me. How on earth did you manage to get in here … ?

this type of remark is very - hurting, humiliating and terrible, isn’t it ? she is a young teenager, yet can say all these. Imagine if she grow up into an adult, what kind of lady will she turn into, you think ?

so i am just wondering … from young, say Primary 1 onwards, does rgps or any other school teach moral character / values like - humility, learn to be humble at all times, and learn to respect people of all category, regardless of whether your friends are weak or strong ?
