Ok, I totally lost of the Registration and balloting of Primary sch. Need some help here. My DD is year 2007.

I am interested in the following:-

Within 1km:- GongShang Primary, Tampines North Primary

              1-2km:-
              PoiChing, Tampines Primary, St. Hilda’s

Within 1km still need to go for balloting under P2C?
Which one should I register my girl in?
If I want to do PV, when do I need to register?

I look at last 2010 GongShang has:-
              Total vacany - 240
              P1 taken - 129
              P2A2 - 30
              P2B - 39
              P2C vacany - 42, Register - 82
It seem like GongShang very HOT… within 1km still need to fight with other 81 applicants.

I give up hope on SHPS… too popular. Tampines Primary and PoiChing, how?

Poi ching is as popular as St Hilda’s and Gongshang.

Between Tampines Primary and Tampines North primary, Tampines Primary is better, have check with parents who child study there, the school is improving… year by year. dont be surprise it soon will be one of the popular school in tampines.

I know Tampines Pri is getting better each yr, which is why it is one of my choice. I think I should try my luck at Tampines Pri since GongShang is much popular. If unsuccessful , I can register PoiChing right? Is this how it goes?

Poi ching school also need balloting for the past years, that is what i know. Same as Gongshang and SHPS. As this 3 school is super popular in tampines area.

So if you unsuccessful in Tampines Pri, no hope in Poi Ching either.

For Tampines Pri, as past record, so far no balloting needed for that school, as this school is not as popular yet.

Since you stay 1km within Poi ching School and keen on that school, i think you can try that school first and if unsuccessful try Tampines Pri, but hopefully tampines pri still have vacancy. If not, you are losing both good school. You must think carefully which school to register for DD, and confident that you can get in to that school. It better have one than nothing.

You can see all previous thread regarding Poi ching if you want more info.

Are you registering you DD this year?

                      Thanks for the info.

Poi Ching and Tampines Pri are both 1-2km range. Only GongShang and Tampines North is within 1km.

Yes, at the moment based on the 2010 in-take, there was no balloting required. But PoiChing need balloting for P2C.

Nope, I am not registered this yr. My DD is 2007 bb… should register in 2013?
