      St Hilda’s
      Tampines Pri
      Chongzeng Pri

I wander why is Poi Ching and Gongsheng is so popular? This school dont even have School Distintion award

Opps... Gongshang pri has school distintion award. Not Chongzheng... OMG this two name is so similar....sorryyy 😉

so three good school to consider in tampines is:-

        St hilda's
        Tampines Pri
        Gongshang Pri

I will put my daughter in Tampines Pri next year. Heard a lot of good comment on that school too as the school is improving each year. And I stayed within less than 1km from that school. Easy registration.

Hihi! Poi Ching is ever popular because it is SAP School.

There are only 15 SAP schools in Singapore. Poi Ching does not receive school distinction award as it is too new and therefore does not have enough track record (min. 5 years of PSLE results).

For the first 2 years, it reported outstanding results. Last year, the results were not great but definitely better than neighbourhood schools. I taught in Poi Ching as a relief teacher in 09 and can tell you that the school itself has many enrichment programs, be it Art, Physics Education.

If you forsee your child as an outstanding student (Top 80 in level), he can expect to go on overseas exchange programs every year from P4 onwards. To my knowledge, this is a rare practice for primary schools.

I cant remember the percentage, but a large number of students take up higher Chinese within the school. It is a great bilingual environment.

Ok, I totally lost of the Registration and balloting of Primary sch. Need some help here. My DD is year 2007.

I am interested in the following:-

Within 1km:- GongShang Primary, Tampines North Primary

                    1-2km:-
                    PoiChing, Tampines Primary, St. Hilda’s

Within 1km still need to go for balloting under P2C?
Which one should I register my girl in?
If I want to do PV, when do I need to register?

I look at last 2010 GongShang has:-
                    Total vacany - 240
                    P1 taken - 129
                    P2A2 - 30
                    P2B - 39
                    P2C vacany - 42, Register - 82
It seem like GongShang very HOT… within 1km still need to fight with other 81 applicants.

I give up hope on SHPS… too popular. Tampines Primary and PoiChing, how?

Poi ching is as popular as St Hilda’s and Gongshang.

Between Tampines Primary and Tampines North primary, Tampines Primary is better, have check with parents who child study there, the school is improving… year by year. dont be surprise it soon will be one of the popular school in tampines.

I know Tampines Pri is getting better each yr, which is why it is one of my choice. I think I should try my luck at Tampines Pri since GongShang is much popular. If unsuccessful , I can register PoiChing right? Is this how it goes?
