Since you are already there, why don't you run? It'll be so inspiring!

Me and my hubby don't want to \"waste\" leave to take part in the event, although we would love to run alongside. We always bring the kids to jog around the park every Sunday if we can.
HB also said its a waste of time to take leave. For me I find that it is an encouragement so I decided to take leave.

Hmmm... maybe I should run alongside. I don't like to run. Everytime when I start running, I will get headache...hahahaha.... Any other form of exercise is ok except running.

        Hi mummies,

Nathyn missed last Friday’s lesson as he was ill. I heard from a parent whose kid is in another class that a subscription form for Science magazine was given out that day? Can u fill me in with the details because I was interested in getting it for him but he didn’t bring back any forms on Monday.

          Hi,

Just would like to share what happened to my boy in school on
          Wed, 22 feb 11.

After recess, the class was told to move from hall to class. Someone pushed my boy from behind and he fell flat on the floor. His classmates helped him up from the floor and someone called the teacher. At that time was his chinese teacher. He was then sent to sick bay in general office. His form teacher was called in and attended to him. He was bleeding badly due to a deep cut at his upper lip. His teacher cleaned him up and gave a cold compress.

The point of bringing up is the teacher who said called us twice, couldn’t reach us, gave my boy a pack of tissue and sent him back for his lessons!

I know she needs to go back to her class but she din even leave a message for us or keep the boy in sick bay and get admin in general office to try to inform us.

Guess u can imagine how shock i was that evening when i fetch him from the gate. He looked so blank and his lip was swollen!

This incident make us wonder how the school manage any emergency response in case of any accident to the students. we asked the teacher but she could not answer us, just kept saying she cannot reach us.

How can she be so irresponsible!

Very interesting. I am just wondering how young is the teacher? Sounds like a very young and inexperienced teacher. Either that or at the point in time, the judgement was made that your boy was fine, it was just a cut with no visibly other conditions (swelling could have occurred much later!?)

I had the same thing. My preschooler fell and had a slash on her eyebrow, I was not informed too. Perhaps it’s not too big a deal?

Is it true that the P1 students are to go back to school after the run on 11 March and school will end at 1250pm, instead of the usual afternoon hours?

It is indicated in the memo. That day is run day. All P1 will dismiss at 12.50pm.

For the Yishun Park run, my hubby and I would be joining Rae in the run. I am just wondering if there are any instructions for parents to follow, like what time to meet at the Park and where to meet and whether we could run alongside with our kids?

Yeap, Your child is to report to school at 7.00 am sharp in PE Attire.

After assembly, the classes will board the buses for Yishun Park. Your child has to return to school after the event for lessons / activities and will only be dismissed at 12.50 p.m.

It seems that P1-P2 running route is different from upper Primary (P3-P6). Check it out in their website that they upload the info. http://www.chongfu.moe.edu.sg/

                      Cheers,
                      wkong
