You don't need Biology for Medicine.

yes. sorry to butt in, but yup, Bio was taken out as a reqmt for medicine in 2004 or 2005.

had students with chem n phy get in before. but of course, the majority in the med fac in nus had taken bio. the fac just doesnt want to lose talent from the pool that didnt take bio.

Thank all for the reply...So, look like it is not really a compusory subject for any Uni course 🙂

Really good to know as DS is quite determined not to take Bio elective for his Y3 next year

Well, didn't want him do Medicine but hope that he won't be rejected on his preferred Uni Course because of that :xedfingers:[/quote]Updating my own questions in case someone out there also interested to know : )

        Read from NUS site:
        1) Pharmacy has Biology as a prerequisites.
        2) Bioengineering need student to take Biology Bridging Module if do not have a H2 pass in Biology. Not sure does it mean must have it at the 1st place but guess so.

He was ex RVians and the chinese teacher who taught him whem he was in RV is still teaching in RV now. She put on RV collar badge for him today … Very touching. They sang the school song with him the last time and greeted him e traditional way the last time. 起立,行礼…

This is good for him as it means that he is promoted or will be promoting soon.

With CCA training and so much homework and projects, no time left to enjoy the hols. 😞

initially i was not used to it as well. but overtime i come to terms with it. guess it is the norm for secondary school life. more subjects and thus more homework and projects. also more cca involvement as it is compulsory unlike in primary schools.

As for last year, my daughter had homework for ALL subjects and
some would be graded the following year but the teachers would not reveal which were the ones be graded. :frustrated:
