2011 P1 Registration Exercise for 2012 In-Take

BigDevil:
Yes, agree with BigDevil, please make your choice carefully. Hot schools sure to face balloting within 1km for Phase 2C.During any phase of registration, you can only register at ONE school, and you take your chances with that ONE school.
So it's important you choose the school wisely...meaning one with reasonable chance of getting a place, rather than those heavily contested ones. -
I have given up on Qifa. Spoke with the teacher in charge yesterday and she said first gal is a definite 2C (extremely low chance since 2.71km away) and 2nd gal is 2B (PV is a 99% guarantee entry)
I was offered to do PV and have the 2nd gal join Qifa first and then waitlist for the first gal to join the school later. :stupid:
So in the end, I told her I won't be joining PV. Lakeside also confirmed that I can enter my first gal at 2A2. So went to rackey it today.
1. First Choice: Qifa
Phrase: 2C (more than 2km)
BASC - None Nearby
Driving Time: 2 mins
2. Lakeside Pri
Phrase: 2A2
BASC: Pro Teach (Corporation)
Driving Time: 10 Mins
Spoke to Pro Teach as well so I am more appeased :rahrah: -

So troublesome to have the kids in different schools...furthermore no guarantee your older one can be transferred to same school as younger daughter.I have given up on Qifa. 10 minutes drive to Lakeside (Phase 2A2 99% guaranteed) better than 2B (bcos still have to do PV). -

Indeed and just got informed by the previous owner that Fuhua is 1-2km within radius. Sticking to lakeside since BASC is across the school. So troublesome to have the kids in different schools...furthermore no guarantee your older one can be transferred to same school as younger daughter.

Is it me or Peer Pessure is massive? My colleagues are already planning to shift to PLMGS or Rosyth and going on that a good reputation is required for a good start. Think that got me into a frenzy that i am not doing anything

Some schools in the neighbourhood do have good teachers...they do teach well and can do certain stuff to help the students which teachers in some branded schools do not.Indeed and just got informed by the previous owner that Fuhua is 1-2km within radius. Peer pressure can be 'contagious'...I do feel that way when I meet other parents who have kids same age as mine...but ultimately it still boils down to consistent revision. Only the parents know how much is needed. -
@Janet_lee88
I am smacked in the middle of all these, there’s one who’s moving to D’Leedon for obvious reasons (haha my working environment is making me stress out :-p)
Anyways, anxious at the countdown to Pri 1 !! Pro-Teach seems so nice as well so I feel really comfortable.
Would we need Health Booklets for registration? -

You may either make copies from the health book, or retrieve the immunisation records from the following website:

When I registered daughter for P1 last year, the teacher who attended to us told us the immunisation records downloaded from the website above is much clearer and neater than the health book...which I certainly agree.Kissgurami:

How about from the parent's end? Does it require my ex and my NRIC for registration? -
