      Hi all,

      Need advise
Should I register my DS to Chongfu (within 1km) or Ai Tong (me ex-student)? 😢

      :?:
Another lucky parent stuck with good choices 😉
Ai Tong is in Ang Mo Kio while Chong Fu is in Sembawang. Actually not that far apart. As a former student of Ai Tong, your son has 99.9% chance of getting in under Phase 2A.
Did you check out last year's P1 registration for Chong Fu ? Any balloting required ? Bcos if you bypass Ai Tong and balloted out from Chong Fu (Phase 2C), you can't go back to Phase 2A.

I tink yes, balloting needed, my colleague’s son can’t get into Chongfu in Phase 2C even she stay within 1km.

If for me, I’ll just choose Ai Tong, don’t need to think so much.

Understand Chong Fu and Ai Tong are part of association...back then in 2006 it was hard to get into CF. Since former student of Ai Tong, don't think so much and go for it.

Yes, they r from Hokkien Huay Kuan. Is still difficult to get in these few years, no doubt their standard drop and also many good schools around in Yishun now. However, my colleague's kid enrolled last year for P1 still unsucessful loh.

So why take the risk, just go for Ai Tong. :celebrate:

U have to check the past years record for Chongfu. U may not gaurantee a place even within 1km. I suggest u secure a place in Ai Tong first during P2A and then look at the situation at Chongfu in P2C.

Wow! This thread started in 2010 for 2012 intake? That's really kiasu.

I just wanted to ask anyone here have any comments or feedback on St Gabriel's Pri? I have affiliation through the Church, but i'm more concerned about the standard of the teachers there. I heard from some parents whose children were put there about 5 years ago, that the teachers there are not very good and they are not as \"committed\" to the children as some of the other christian schools. Can anyone enlighten me?

ps: Sorry if this was covered previously...
