Hi, My children was transfered to Mayflower this year. one of them are in Pri 2 and the other in Pri 5.
Ordered the name tags since dec but yet to get them yet… -

My son is in 1G.
He’s been selected to attend the Dancing class on Wed after school from 2-4pm. It’s some sort of CCA for him.
Coming this Friday is yet again another off day. -
In P1, my child is subject to this TouchTyping Test tomorrow.
Don’t seem to find the ideology behind it. Their exposure of working on their school work with the computer is quite minimum for now. -
What is touchtyping about? They got attend classess?
Btw, since your child is in P1, may i know is there any exam / test? Whats the frequency? PLease advise.
Does the school based on the result and group the kids? -
The TouchType is just an excercise to see how well you can TYPE on the computer. Given a text paragraph, child will be assessed on how fast and how many mistakes recorded.
No exams for P1. They are only given a Test on the subjects studied upon completion of the module during the school term. This will be assessed to see if the Child understands what’s being taught.
No, the grouping is only applicable for Chinese subject during the First term by the Teacher. This is to ensure every child can learn at their comfortable pace.
Not much to worry as the workload is quite moderate. Mostly they have already be taught and prepared while in K2.
