The school will inform you the time and place of the balloting.oh, another question:
how does the balloting system works? i mean when will it take place? before the results announcemnt date or on the day itself?
the school will call u up to inf of the date of balloting or izit done behind close doors, then they will inf u of the results?
It seems that most schools do it on the result announcement date.
Balloting is opened for the concerned parents to witness. In fact, some schools invite the parents to the stage to draw out balloting tickets. -

well.. sometimes landlords don't want to renew the rental so people don't have a choice but to move out. this should be recognized by MOE/Schools as valid reasons i suppose.Q: Can I use a rental address to register my child?
Variations:
Q: Can I use the address of my uncompleted property to register my child?
Q: Can I move house after my child's successful Primary school registration?
Q: How long must we stay at the address that was used to register my child? -
Hi…
Can anyone advise me on this?
We have 2 houses in 2 different areas. I changed my address on my IC to address B but my husband’s address on his IC remains address A.
My dd is due for P1 next year thus we are planning to apply for a school near our address B.
Any issues with this, since both of our ICs state different addresses? -

Hi
You should be using the address that your family will be staying in the next few years, for registration.
It is said that if the addresses on the NRIC are different, the address on the dad's NRIC would be used. Of course the exception will be on separated case where mummy has the custody.
It is not worth trying to \"creatively workaround\" the registration system, if caught, the child will be transferred out and the parents may be publicly shamed in the media. Moreover, it is very tiring for the child to be traveling long distance to and fro school each day. -
Hi..
Thanks for your advice.
The school we are planning to register her is only 10 mins from home, and we are staying near the school.
Before we moved to this area, my husband had registered his business using the old address & the info is printed on the namecards, invoices, etc, thus he wants to continue using the address. The house is still ours though it's rented out.
In that case i think i've better tell him abt this coz this is our 1st time going thru the P1 registration
Many thanks..
