Hi,


I am new here and I have a 5 weeks old daughter.
I am a full time working mum and will be going back to work in 2 week time.

I am glad a friend told me about this website. My husband was saying that I super kiasu while I was busy researching for my baby’s enrichment course, which I found lots of information here. So much information that I do not know which enrichment course to send my daugther to.

When she is 6 months old, I am planning to send her to a right brain training class and a music or gym class.

Welcome hokkienmee... I guess your hubs is right... you fit right in here with us But he won't complain when your kid turn out to be the well-balanced individual that we all aspire our children to become

PS. Isn't 6mths a bit too young for gym class? Why not try swimming instead?

Wah...baby 6 mths already considering enrichment classes! For music and movement, you may try kindermusik, and yes, can try swimming too, as I believe babies love water (but must be really careful and find a qualified instructor for infant swimming lessons). Yes, I think swimming is a good idea since my baby loves taking bath. :-)She is normally very happy during bath time.

I am thinking of either Kindermusik or Seimpi MiM programme, not sure which one is more fun?

You're welcome, hokkienmee. Hmm...if you're looking at the fun element, I wld think Kindermusik fits the bill, esp for babies as young as 6 mths.

Do you happen to know what is the difference in the class content between Kindermusik class and Seimpi class??

Hi, I’m not exactly clear, but in short, I think Kindermusik is more for general music appreciation (esp for young tots) and Seimpi classes sort of work towards being able to play the keyboard ultimately.

Found these info on their website. It seems that Seimpi has a program for very young babies like Kindermusik too. But I think you are right, Kindermusik class sounds more fun

Gives parent and bb time to bond constructively with the expertise of
the play leaders within a clean & safe environment, and also gives bb
a chance to work with various equipments, exercises like crawling and
all which helps keep bb active.

Another i have tried with my elder girl back when she was a baby was http://www.weecare.com.sg/.
They're real professionals, i tell ya. And the spoken language... very
Queens! Good exposure for babies! Hehee... I remember a baby
crawling race during the session and i tell ya, it was the parents who
were more geared and pumped up! Not the babies! Wuahahahhaa!

Got time and $$$ to spare, why not baby enrichment, aye?

Yes, this is my first kid mah, sure \"ganjiong\" a bit lah.

Have looked at different baby gym classes like Gymbabes (Tumble Tots), Gymboree, The Little gym, MyGym and JWT Kids gym. But not sure which one is the best?? But I think most important thing is my girl must like the class, so most likely I will sign up for trial class and let my girl choose for herself

WeeCare sounds interesting. Can the babies interact while they are so young?? Must be really cute seeing them interacting with each other.
