mommyNg:
Anyone tried Andrew Er's Math Worksheets? How does it compared to the Challenging Math by Andrew Er? I read somewhere that Andrew Er's worksheet is a better book for high ability children (tackle not only problem sums)?
This Andrew Er's Maths Worksheets is for higher ability kids...it's tougher than the usual Andrew Er books. A friend gave me that book. -
Thanks janet_lee!!

Because I am using P2 one. Its not that difficult but very good source to practice. that book have 3 levels of difficulty. Difficulty level 1 have about 75-90 Qs to practice. and difficulty level 2 is about 65- 80 Qs to practice. in difficulty level 3 abt 20 -40. in addition it has diagnostic test after each chapter/ booklet and ca sa papers as well. I have seen same type of Qs in visible thinking as well. In visible thinking only few Qs to try but in Andrew Er Maths Worksheets book more to practice and become familier to that Question type. -

Thanks Janet,
P5. From a friend before she migrated.
I got this book last year, when it was on sale 20% disc.
difficulty level 1 n 2 I make her do every thing. level 3, I go through the Qs and Mark the ones she can do first, then others I explain first and then ask her to try. -

Hi Janet & Plum Cake,
Is this book that both you talking about? WOW! Really hor - talking about assessment books - there are really too many in the market!

Wah plum-cake, I admire your persistance and your dd's endurance level!!! :salute: Mine didn't have so much time to do so many questions (plus she has onsponge, plus other subjects, plus CCA, plus playtime, plus reading time, ++++ sigh.....) So I typically mark out those questions that I think are interesting and those I think she need more practice on, even for level 1 & 2. She likes to try some questions in the Critical Thinking section, and I'll let her do it, but I don't \"force\" her to complete all. I also like the diagnostic tests and CA/SA tests in the book.
difficulty level 1 n 2 I make her do every thing. level 3, I go through the Qs and Mark the ones she can do first, then others I explain first and then ask her to try.
The BIG problem for her, after so many practices on problem solving, is that she can score full marks in Section C, but can lose many marks in \"easy\" questions from Section A and B (a.k.a. careless mistakes). This kind of careless mistakes assessment books how to solve?!?!? Any tips on reducing careless mistakes (a bit OT)....? -
