Hi hl124273,
I get my kids to bathe when they step into the house with warm waterβ¦with HFMD, I am particular about hygiene even more.
Besides, itβs hard to get them to bathe after lunch.
Allow my kids to watch 1/2 hour TV on Tuesday nights (Noose) to unwind. -

.... especially my gal likes to watch TV first thing in the morning all the way till before the school bus arrives .. hence I am worried as that is not the best use of time and i can't really help much since I am at work .. at least the chinese private tutition takes away the TV time.
Tried to give her homework to complete, sometimes she completes it anyhow , sometimes she does it properly, at times she doesn't do it at all.
Tried taking away the TV remote control, and the kids will still continue to on the power on button to watch. Right after she comes back from PH, she will turn on TV first thing and eat her dinner, taking 30 mins to finish her dinner. I let be, take it as unwind time. Guess all kids are like that ..
My Gal Pick up a lot of EL Vocab, CL \"Cheng-Yu\" ....
And Got Full Encouragement from This Mummy to Re-create Plots from these shows in Her Compo, when She Runs out of Original Ideas ....
And Also ....
Can Slang Like the American (Credit goes to ALL the Cartoon Network, Disney World Shows) to Humour the Whole Family ....
Besides, it's Good for Relaxation, and De-stressing ....
And Good Bonding with your dd ....
By the Way, Have U been Watching TV Recently with your dd? -
Funx3:
Agree! I particularly like the CL show (cannot remember Saturday or Sunday night) where all the Secondary school kids compete with each other. Very interesting and exciting. My whole family sat in front of the TV to watch it. In fact, I refreshed my memory on a few Cheng Yu and Yan Yu from the programme too. DH and DD were impressed I knew those words. Hehehe!!Watching TV is Not necessarily Bad ALL the Time.

By the Way, My Gal Just Came Back from her Class ....My Gal Just Arrived Home, and First Thing she Says,
\"Mummy, I Run Out of BRAIN JUICE!\"
Huh??
Apparently, She Has EL Compo in Sch this Morning,
And EL Writing Course (Sch) in the Afternoon, and Gym Just Now
And Now ....
Gotta Go for CH Writing Class ....
So This Mummy Quickly Fortified Her With ....
Lots of \"Bak-Kua\" and a Big Glass of Freshly Home-made ICED Milo ....
And Send Her Off for Class With a BIG Smile on Her Face ....

And She Wrote 3.5 pages for her CL Compo!
She Told Me she Even used ALL the Latest Mo-Xie into her Compo, Put to Great Use, Right?
So Looks Like The ICED MILO Does HELP to Replace (Oops, should be Replenish) Brain Juice .... , hor?
In fact She Asked for ONE More, Right Now!
Ha Ha ....

Funx3:

All these talk about P2 CL essay writing is making me feel uneasy. Heng ah, P1 don't have essay writing; so I've actually 'downgraded' ds to work on his η¬η» via K1/K2 assessment books. Since no exam, think can afford to take the opportunity to train him to write legibly.
Warned ds that for the next PTC session, I don't want to hear CL T say that his penmanship is non-existent again. Otherwise ..... a BIG stack of CL handwriting practice assessment books will appear in front of his beloved computer.
