Ya, I agree too, It will be a good exposure. thank you.
Yes agree! DD's FT also encouraged the whole class to try it, as it's good exposure.Happy Mama:

My dd will take all subjects and FT had also encouraged them to take all. I asked whether anyone in class didn't want to take, she replied, \"Why not?\". I personally think it's good exposure.
It's result analysis maybe helpful for our children.
I have searched other comments also, It is obviously that this competition is not very high value. I was looking for my dd1's file those keeped in my pc, found she got english and math's HD cert, but seemed nothing. I totally didn't know what's that then.[/quote]I found that the ICAS standard is very high...especially for English it is higher than PH standard. For MA and SC, also quite challenging. So I let my son take them for exposure. -

Actually in my case, since i was not Chinese educated in school, now when i learn the Chinese together with my sons, i cannot really tell the difference in difficulty level between p3 and p4 CL. perhaps ignorance is bliss in my case.Mum1113:

That's right. thank you. Yesterday i tried to persuade my dd to take part in ICAS, I almost spent an hour in explaining it's benefit. btw, let her evaluate something by herself, dont listen to others freely...
Last week, she has purposely done whole set math paper, but her one classmate forced her to erase 2pages as she was specially mentioned by him those 2pgs was not hw...
One more, when she corrected her wrong answer but this boy did not allow her change... such small things happend many times...
