      Hi Pixiedust,

Just curious, how this Ace publication concept map looks like?

.. concept maps in Science Explorer by ace publication...from P3-P6.

I second this. In my opinion, much better than the new publication by MC.
I think they helped my ds did ok for CA1.

          Hi pixiedust and janet,
sorry to trouble you - do you happen to have the pic of the book's front cover? Unable to find any from the web page.

Did upload earlier but will do that later. Concept map helps to cut down reading wordy paragraphs but not applicable all the time. My son doesn’t like it.

                    Hi champion,

I just saw these wonderful concept maps in Science Explorer by ace publication...from P3-P6. Am usually not one who like this map thing but I find the concept map and misconception facts helpful...know you don't plan to step into popular. You can check it out in June.
                    Hi Janet,

                    is this sold in Popular?

                      No problem.

Actually, I just followed livewith_vanilla's suggestions in the P5 thread but she made her own notes/concept maps.

My son reads the science guides at the same pace as lessons taught in school. Before exams, he reads the concept maps to recap/refresh his memory. At this point, we discuss if there's any area he thinks he needs to re-read from guidebooks.

We were really hard pressed for time for CA1, I also followed Brenda's suggestion to let him read selected answer keys and also the 'common misconception' in the ace booklets. Looking at this CA1 paper, I find that he was able to recall the keywords/concept in the concept maps.

My ds likes mindmapping as he read Tony Buzan Mind Mapping for kids on his own and practise mindmapping for EL compo.

@Peony, yes they are. Also used in Janet's ds's school.
