Wow .. look really nice.Ok, to satisfy the curiosity of some PH parents, ds's greenish piano is displayed below. His name was engraved somewhere in the 3rd pic but it's blurred due to camera angle (on purpose, hehe).
Selective parts of the piano is covered with green precious wood (just below SAUTER in first 2 pics, LHS in 3rd pic and top in 4th pic), but it doesn't mean that the whole piano is green. That'll be too much to take.
Thanks for sharing .....
Does your ds play at the piano in school?
A lot of kids play at the piano during recess time. -

I wonder which type of teacher is worse - those who think too highly of themselves, or those who pass unnecessary, scarcastic remarks which do nothing but bruised a young child's morale .. I am truly surprised ..
A lot of teachers are in the profession not becasue they have a passion to teach. As such, it is quite normal to see teacher that lack the \"special touch of love\".
In fact, recently I discovered that by going through my dd daily assignments and talking to her, I will be able to discern whether teacher is passionate about their job. Sad to say .. to date .. the hit rate is 1/3.
Only 1 out of 3 teachers are truly commited to giving their best to the students. -

Ivory is already banned in piano making. Nowadays the better pianos use a synthetical substitute called ivorites. The black keys remain as ebony though.markfch:

wow ! proof that mark is rich, buying a piano made with Burmese jade and ivory....no wonder your DS does not know the value of money. sorry, dug out old story but can never forget that....heard your DS doing extremely well in school ...... well done !
So I have the dubious honour of waking you up from your KSP hiatus?
Quite a few PH parents have promoted to GM -

I told my son to forget what she had said and to move on. No point getting upset over her. Just have to accept it. Fortunately, he's blessed with a great Chinese and Maths teacher. These people in the service and EDUCATION industry just lack the EQ :xOh dear, that's so mean n degrading for the child. It's unfortunate, but the truth is that there are teachers that do not have the necessary soft skills to cope with the unique demands of handling children
some r there for the money, so with passion, the teaching profession is just like any other, just like meeting terrible service fr pple in the customer service. there's no filter to sieve them out, n the incentives to do better do not matter to them.
I hope your child's not too badly affected, being penalised when he's trying to do better must b v discouraging for him. This auntie feels so bad for him -

Hey my son's teacher is not far off in terms of being mean.JRLam:
I am just thinking if this 'amazing' person picked up the art of pissing people off due to his job or is this his character ? In any case, it looks like he is comfortably sitting in his chair for many more years to come, unless MOE transfers him.
Recently my son's class brought Lilies to school coz they were learning Reproduction of Plants. His teacher, saw a stalk of Lily with boy XXX, commented:\"Hey, XXX, why do you bring flower to school today? For your girlfriend hah?\"
I wonder which type of teacher is worse - those who think too highly of themselves, or those who pass unnecessary, scarcastic remarks which do nothing but bruised a young child's morale .. I am truly surprised ..
Got him to ask her what will be tested for SA1 Science...didn't get email reply. Desperate to know bcos it's already APRIL.
That teacher told him the topics which will be tested AND MADE HIM REPEAT in front of whole class. My heart really went out to my son bcos she was so mean. That's how I feel :x Why must she do that ? What's wrong with her anyway ? :x In my heart, all I can think of is, DAMN :x Come on, what the hell is wrong with her ?
That sounds bad. did you speak to the teacher about it? perhaps there is the other side of the story? For example, maybe the teacher asked him to tell the class with \"good intention\"...like giving him the honor to tell the class or something like that? I admit i dunno the inside story, just that sometimes it could be due to misunderstanding. But if the teacher really did it in a mean way to get back, then i will surely file an official complaint to the principal if it happens to my son. -

Mark , thanks for taking the trouble in the photos (especially the 'right' angles to smerge certain private details like ds's name
)....
Really appreciate your sharing and indeed it is a great piece of investment for ds, when especially he plays it regularly without you prompting and what's more, also playing on the 'not-so-nice' piece in school compound. It just shows his deep interests and love for piano music :celebrate:  -
