One way to deal with frosting a round cake - or for any cake for that matter - is to get a turntable/lazy Susan. I bought a lazy Susan from IKEA which serves my needs pefectly.

I bought it a few years ago when I began my baking journey for about $20, but it's now only $9.90:

The lazy Susan helps a lot to smooth out the top of the cake. Spin it while holding the spatula to smooth the top out. Likewise for the sides. I even bought those triangle shapes with teeth to make lines on the sides of my cake like this:

Do you know where we can buy a glass lazy susan and how much it will cost?
I saw an ad of a refrigerator on TV recently which showed, like it had glass lazy suzan inside the fridge. I don't want to replace my fridge, just install a glass LS in it.

I've not encountered a glass lazy susan, but you might wish to call up some glass manufacturers or glasswork factories. They might be able to make one for you. šŸ˜„
