You can never go wrong with Europe, but the euros is not retreating and is still near 1.79 against the SGD......sad.

imho, one of the best option NOW is to the UK.

The Sterling is at one of its lowest against the SGD, only about 2.02 ( used to be 2.6 to 3.0 )

London is nice, the Lakeside is beautiful, the midands full of history and castles, and best of all, the north Scotland. If you want snow, u can see it throughout the year in the mountains near Aviemore, the lakes, the mountains, the sights, all superb. Even can try catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness legend, haha. All those pictures you see on postcards, they are there, just for you to be awe stricken , especially during sunset.

And the Scots are one of the most friendly and hospitable people in the world.

The fact that english is used for communications and that they drive on the same side as us, renting a car to see the country is so simple and carefree.

a lot of promo fares now going on with the airlines ( except our SIA, zzzzz ) When SQ give promo, they always block out the school holidays, unlike the rest like BA, Qantas, Airfrance, KLM, Etihad, Emirates, etc.
      really huh ?

next trip to UK must extend to have a look see around

everytime I was there I kept telling myself \"next time, next trip\" nad never got to see UK / London

agree with you there Europe will always be nice, every season, every time

You can call the club med hotline and ask them for the price.

              Hi Leanne,

if it's just beautiful snow and mountains, you should consider the Alps in central Europe, either from Switzerland or Italy, or even Austria and Germany, cant go wrong.

Scotland is more for the extremely friendly people, the ambience, the sweet country and most of all the postcards sceneries.

yes, VK2000, Europe is really wondrous, no matter what you want to see or do. Nowhere else in the world can you see what you see in Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland , Spain and to a lesser extend France and Holland.

Do go see the UK, so easy to drive around, or go by trains, so much history, so much to see. I love Scotland because they are so friendly. 60% of ppl who go UK only glow about London, but it's actually all the rest outside London that is magnificent. I rate Edinburgh a nicer city than London, personal view of cos.

                    Hi Leanne,

no no…it doesn’t have to cost so much! We dont have to stay in 5 star hotels , you know. You can find some around 100 to 130 pounds around London.

If you go with a simple F&E or package tour to London it is a small fraction, and then you just extend your holidays to drive out of London afterwards. Most hotels outside the cities are like 60pounds to 80pounds per night, including a full breakfast.

And if you are not fussy, plenty of bed and breakfast ( very very nice and cosy with superb home made complete breakfast ) along the way. Normally they charge per person about 25 to 35 pounds.

                    😎
