If Janet received $180 from her grandfather, how much must Simon and Alicia each give to Janet so that all three children have the same amount of money?

Total = 100 + 30 =130

[ ]= (130 - 40) / 2 = 45

In the end , Rachel had $45 (Ans)

Each of them had the same amount of money = 1020 / 3 = 340

In order for all three children have the same amount of money ,

The amount of money that Simon and Alicia should give to Janet = 420 - 340 = $ 80 (Ans)

substitute (2) into equation (1):

{}= 520 - 372
{}=148

so from equation (2):
O=186-148
O=38

Thus :OOOO+{}{}{} --> O+{}+O+{}+O+{}+O
=186 +186 + 186 + 38
=596
