My daughter has been attending TH for since n2 n she loves it…now that my son is able to fit into e youngest class, which is n1 and he has been ‘sending’ elder sis for classes,he too wants to join…so we trialed 1class but coincidentally,he had already covered the words needed for e class back in childcare. He can recognize body parts in chinese characters and teacher said she can only help to revise.have to follow curriculum even thou he knew.they did suggest that he take n2 class but im nt sure if he shud…

What r the words covered for berries n1 n 2? Can anyone advise?

Hi LLX04, Glad that your kids love it. But I don't feel that not having much homework is a good thing... But if your gals love it and made improvements then it should be fine. Berries seems like a great place for kids! By the way, how do you think Berries will be rated out of 5 stars based on the following?

          a) Teacher Quality
          b) Material Quality
          c) Centre Service
          d) Location
          e) Value for Money

I am trying to compile a comparison list like this and share with all kiasu parents at kiasuparents. 🙂

          Hi,
anyone is with Berries @ Bishan? How is it?

My gals are in Bishan Berries and they loved it. Not much homework and the teachers are able to give feedback whenever u prompt them. However, most classes are full and it has a long waiting list.

[/quote]Actually it all depends on whether you can get into a small class. Berries methods work best when the class size is less than 6.

If the class size is 12 or more, then no matter how good the teacher is, the child will not be able to learn very well.

Also note that parents must be prepared to work hard even if you send your kids to Berries. The teacher will feedback to you if your child cannot follow up with the class, she will advise you to practice reading the lesson with your child everyday.

I think if you refer pple, you get a discount voucher of $20 (cant rem if it is this amt) off your next term course fees.

My boy was at West Coast for one year. His teacher is OK. They follow the same curriculum as other Berries, so it does not really matter which center you go to. All the teachers are trained to use games to teach. As I wrote above, try to get into a class that is as small as possible.
