      Hi mummies,

My daughter has memory retention prob...she just can't remember what has been taught, can't internalize too. Wonder if she has learning disability. Teaching her CL spelling is worst torture every week 😢 Should I bring her to see a psychologist?

For å°ę‹‡ęŒ‡, this year is 15 issues for $21.00. Next year will be around 20 issues but price not sure.

Yes, they will send by mail to our house.

        Hope the above information useful.

DD brought back a free copy today. It states $1/copy.
        15 issues = 15 copies? That will be $1.40/copy. :?

I think the $0.40 is meant for handling and postage charges for those home subscription.

How about copy the word and present it through Power Point, make it big and colourful and see whether help?

            Hi Brenda,

She has short memory. Brought home some worksheets from home on ting xie, saw her colour the characters. There will be a reshuffle of class for chinese in may, so hopefully she will improve in small group setting. In the meantime, just have to be extra patient. Finishing with hanyu pinyin section soon.

Normally my girl will struggle when she simply try to remember the words for ting xie by heart and I'll get her to copy each word 3x ~ 5x despite her protest (coz she 1 lazy bugger!!). I'll break the whole lot into smaller blocks, ie if she struggle more, 3 words each time....and normally 5 words to tst her. It'll give her some confidence and then I'll give all 10 words 1 final time. This kinda works for us!

                Dear Janet,

Pls don't!! I hope you are just joking ya? I realized from my own experience that kids tend to learn when it is fun. Her Maths enrichment centre teacher taught them how to draw models in very fun ways and she remember all the steps and rules so well... before that I did teach her but she didn't really understand so kept doing it wrong. So try to make the learning process more fun?

Didn't visit this thread for a while.

Last week, teacher started teaching actual Chinese chapters...think she is quite slow, so rushing to finish 1A...that means 听写 quite 'on' until May.
Honestly, I've neglected daughter again bcos of SA1 preparation...really dread to think of next year when she is in P2 and son in P6 :?: :?:
