      24hr-mum:
didnt want my girl to miss lesssons cos sa2 coming, so i started at marine parade and will switch to amk in mid apr.

      my girl p3 sat class

in fact, my k2 boy started jei also, same timing. better than mpm or enopi
Wow, 24hr mum - you are preparing for SA2 already? 😄

I agree with you. JEI is better than MPM. The methodology is more inline with the school methods. To be fair MPM did help to improve my DD mathematical logic. The main reason I switched is because I am not able to track what my DD learn with them as I can't keep the books. My DD forgets easily, so revision and regular reinforcement is very important to help her retain. Have been raising this issue to the owner but she won't relent. Also, heuristic problem sums is not covered in MPM.

      Haven't experience enopi.

MPM hq doesnt allow parents to keep the wkbks. so called ‘patented’

but the bks quite easy and some questions i find it quite unproductive to just keep counting and counting tho the presentation of the question is different

            Hi 24hr-mum

Really better than mpm and enopi? Tink u know best, cos u tried all 3s.

            Best regards.

I hv given notice to withdraw from mpm. will complete at end apr.

but meanwhile have started him on JEI already. they teach how to break a number into tens and ones, as well as how to form tens, in the process of addition n subtraction. it has more direct link to our moe syllabus. whereas for mpm, he still doing counting whch he already knows but the teacher just make him start from bk 1. sigh…

mpm n enopi are rather rigid, in terms of allowing the kid to skip bks. for mpm its worse cos each time they order from hq is 8 bks, n if u wanna skip halfway they will say cant, cos bks ordered already. whereas for jei, they are 100% flexible and will adjust the pace accordingly.

the teacher gives feedback after every session.

in this aspect, i believe mpm n enopi kids will progress slower than JEI, if the child is bright in maths. Jason for JEI said before that sometimes the child also learn at home, by parent, by sch teacher etc and may be learng faster than the JEI centre and that’s why they willg to adjust the pace when necessary. Enopi made my boy repeat the the bklets, imagine half a year, still learning addition (basic digits) only, i find it waste of money.

Ya, intending to enrol my DD2 next year. Marine Parade is easy as Molin is a walk away so DD1 can head over for Maths class after lunch.
