I read a ST report recently that there is an increase in the number of fake degrees and credentials being exposed here. The highest no. of cases come from IT sector, followed by services sector.

if we move away from being overly obsessed with paper qualifications, and to hire based on proven ability to do a task and track record in work experience, we would be able to get rid of quite a lot of fake qualifications. -

Heard of d case of an Indian-trained surgeon known as \"Dr. Death\"
who fled Australia in 2007 after reports surfaced about incompetency?
It was alleged dat at least 80 patients may hv died at his hands between 2003 to 2005 from blotched surgeries.
SG too has opened its doors to Indian-trained doctors. -

BTW, out of 8820 doctors in Singapore, 26% are foreigners that means
1 out of 4 doctors are not locals :shock:
