NUSH takes in about 160 students each year. 85% comes from DSA. So that means they will offer about 140 confirmed places. Out of these 140 are 70 SMOPS platinum holders. That means approx 70 places left for the others. My guess is that another 20+ gets waitlisted. Good Luck.SunnyBoy:
NUSH updated DSA application status in their website. but I'm confused about camp now. the latest infor on the website saying it is on 19 & 26 Jul, not 25 Jul
Maybe they'll clarify when they email the students.
Anyone has any idea of the 400 students accepted for the camp, how many eventually get offered a place? -

My friend just called the NUSH Admission line and was shock tat the lady told her tat result only will be out tmw and via email. Ask her to login tmw, hope tat this is really a joke and the online status is not playing joke on us. -

But seriously, I had earlier asked the NUSH lady what exactly was \"wrong\" with the notification - whether it was to do with the dates only. Or was it that NUSH had sent the shortlisting notification to the wrong applicants; I told her I was concerned that my son's \"Yes\" answer may turn out to be a \"No\" instead. She clarified that it was the dates that needed to be amended, and if I had already received a Yes, then that was accurate and will not change. She must have taken pity on me cos I told her this uncertainty was giving me a heart attack. :shock:
I hope the NUSH lady knows what she is talking about! -
This is what happens when we jump the gun and check the website for information. We worry ourselves and the NUSH staff as well. I guess we should wait for the email confirmation and be patient. And hope that the invitation to camp confirmation is not an error. Interesting thing is, everyone I know got a YES in their form. Is that worrying?

I don't think there is any \"jumping the gun\". NUSH has structured it such that each NUSH applicant has his/her own NUSH DSA online A/C for the purpose of keeping track of and checking one's status.
I did that a few years ago and checked the online A/C status for my eldest son and that was how I found out that he was offered a confirmed place in NUSH.
Certainly no one expected - and neither NUSH staff too - that NUSH would make a mistake in the notification. It just happened and that's it. So we just wait. -

NUSH wasn't ready to inform the applicants yet and in fact, they were planning to email the students only next week. That would probably have allowed NUSH time to check their online form for any errors and there wouldn't have been this flurry of anxious parents calling the school and seeking clarification on this forum.
