Mayb take a look at Mini-toons etc gift shops or even Value $ Shop for some inspiration? Or get some food stuff like kaya or pork floss? U dd can decorate the jar to personalise it. πŸ˜‰

Mustafa sure to have such souvenirs, but may be a bit challenging since you are in the west.

Not sure what type of souvenirs you need to get but for us, we typically get bengawan solo biscuits, ya kun kaya, bak kut teh spices/chicken rice mix when we visit our foreign friends.

            Little M:
If you don't want to go \"all the way from the west to central\" to buy a souvenir. Then why don't you make one. It is the thought that counts πŸ˜„

Perhaps......now what can I do for a 10yo kid.....dun even know boy or girl yet.

I managed to squeeze in 30 mins to go Jurong Point to try.....can't find anything suitable. Finally, I saw these postcards on Singapore.

Ok, so I'll get a little gift (maybe a nice diary, a book or whatever and slot in 3 postcard of SG (Merlion, SG Zoo, Night Skyline) so that the child have some photos of SG πŸ˜‰

Just one more question.....HK - Wong Lok Man....does it sound like boy or girl? Sent email to ask and the child reply the email but didn't indicate the gender :|.

                      Just an idea…

When my son went for a school exchange program in primary school, I stuck Singapore coins ie 5 cents, 10, 20, 50, $1… (or $2 notes) on small cards and put them into plastic pockets. My son added short notes and his name and email contact on the cards. You can also stick them onto Singapore postcards. It is fast to put together and within the budget πŸ™‚

sounds like quite a good idea. Will do that next time .... the overseas programme has ended yesterday
