(a) How many grams of sugar did she use for the jelly
(b) If she made 9 cookies of the same size, what fraction of a kilogram she use for each of them.

a) number of grams that she used for the jelly = 3/10 kg = (3/10)*1000 = 300 g (Ans)

b)

9 cookies -----> 6/10

1 cookie -----> ( 6/10 ) /9 = 1/15

the fraction of a kilogram she use for each of the cookie = 1/15 (Ans)

(a) how many cm of ribbons did jane use to tie 1 parcel.
(b) What fraction of ribbon was left?

Can use the same method as the last q?
The method I use is ( 9/10 x 4/5) / 2.

a)

the length of ribbons that Jane used to tie 1 parcel = [(9/10)*(4/5)] / 2 = 9/25 m = (9/25)*100 = 36 cm (Ans)

b)

the original length of the ribbons = 9/10 m = 90 cm

the length of the ribbons that Jane used = 2*36 = 72 cm

the length of the ribbons that she left was = 90 - 72 = 18 cm

the fraction of ribbon was left = 18 / 90 = 1/5 (Ans)
