      Hi TAS,

Just to confirm with you that the synthesis and grammar books are only for TAS parents right and the coming workshop too? Just want to check as I have a friend wanting to get the books from you.

I am sending my two daughters there to try out their programmes. They have a lit course that my older one (Sec 1) says is really helpful. My younger one looks forward to the P1 class every week. I didn't send my Sec 4 boy for the O Level class because he is very busy but I now think I will because the programme will be helpful for his exams.

I heard from a friend that there will be a new English enrichment centre in Eastgate in 2011, called Creative Horizons. They are currently in Orchard, and highly recommended by my friend.

            Anyone heard of it??

I am interested in English classes for my P2 child next year.

I recommend Creative Horizons. It's at Eastgate- across the road from Parkway. I signed up my Pri 1 girl there and she loves the classes. Her writing is better now too.

Hi, i send my son to the creative writing class at Thinkers Education. Its at Roxy Square Marine Parade area. I think the instructor is experienced in creative writing classes. The materials are well organised and useful. Best of all, they teach in a progressive and systematic approach, fron simple sentences to complicated ones, power vocab, proverbs, brainstorming to mindmapping. others i've went to didnt do a really good job as they just ask my son to memorise the words and force him to use it in his composition. I'm currently quite satisfied with this one and i can see significant improvements in my kid's essay writing. Interested, do let me know and i will give the contact details.

brucel26, can PM me the contact? TIA!

Hi brucel26, could you PM me the name of the instructor that teaches yr son?

Just a word of caution. When I googles, the thinkers education blog is set up by brucel who appears to be promoting it here as a parent.

                      Thanks ksme for the heads-up.

Actually parents should be mindful when people post such comment \"Interested, do let me know and i will give the contact details\".

Do consider with \"a pinch of salt\". I rather hear advise from old timer in the forum.

Dear parents, I would like my ds to take up English lessons with TAS. However, they have a few P1/P2 classes only. After checking with them over the weekend, they are willing to open a new class as long as we have 4 students of the same level. The available schedule is Pri 1- 2 Thursday 4 - 6pm at Ang Mo Kio. Please let me know asap if you are interested. If you are keen but cannot make it on the Thursday’s time-slot, please let me know what your preferred timings are. I would consolidate the info and discuss with TAS if they could open a new class for us. Please feel free to contact TAS directly if you have any queries on their courses (it is quite difficult to contact them as their lines are only opened at certain times of the day but you could get a lot of info by reading what TAS & other parents have written in this forum). I certainly look forward to my ds starting with TAS soon! Thanks.
