Ask her to write down and stick the piece of paper on the wall and read it everyday.Understandable.... To err is human.
However if she make the mistake 3 to 4 times per week then I don't think that is pure mistakes.
Usually I will question my helper when she make the same mistake over again and she will always reply me \"I forget\".
Right now whenever she forget again, I will \"nag\" at her every hour until she can remember. -

:P
Tell her if she forgets, you also conveniently forget how much her salary is.

My ex-indo maids didn't usually have the time to say sorry, when I tell them this is not correct, already their eyes start turning red, and then 10 sec later, it'll be brimming with water.
Now I Ban Her From Using the Word \"FORGET\" or \"LUPA\" ....
When I Remind Her, I Pre-Empt Her With, \"Don't Tell Me U LUPA, ....\"

At times I get so exasperated I just tell them, cry no use; next time just remember. -

DesertWind your maid is quite lucky to have you increasing sal almost every year :celebrate:
Hi LKVM,
She is a good maid so I willing to pay. But I was targetting to increase her pay to SGD500 only if not for the announcement by the maid agencies of which the one I use is the leader of the pack!

Thanks LKVM, for your input.
Autumn I think gradual increase is good rather than drastic one... you are doing good thing... plus she doesnt have off day is also an advantage :celebrate:LKVM:
I have also renewed my helper's contract this March. This is her 3rd year.
She started off with $350, then $370 and now $400.
All other personal expenses borne by us eg clothes, toiletries etc ... plus yearly bonus. She has no off day.
This one I have to give credit to DH because as he holds the purse ..... ermmmm .... wallet strings, he decides on the pay
Ke..ke...because I am working and paying maid so I can decide on her pay. DH said I was increasing a bit too much and too soon. Also sometimes too generous. But maid really helped me a lot looking after my boy well and give me very minimal problems. Hence I just go with my gut feel and pay since she is worth-it. Not even my own mum or MIL can help me look after my boy. If it were my mum or MIL, I am sure I have to \"pay\" a lot more!
Understand your rationale.
Hence, we make it up to her in other ways by bringing her out with us, even when we go on holidays like msia and give her shopping money, let her order whatever she wants when in a restaurant, even if its a buffet ... only because she does help me take care of DS well and sincerely - that is the utmost priority
