I only heard that there was restriction in number of letters for Ai Tong in 2008, but none for KH or other schools. Guess it all depends on number of parents applying.


I’m hoping to try out for KH but my kid’s registration is next year - pray there is no restriction then.

Any body has any idea how many recommedation letters did Huay Kuan give out for TNS ?


The school is expecting more than 100 to register under this phase.

please don't get me wrong, just find it strange that it seems all SHHK members here who applied, are all successful in getting recommendation.

SHHK changed their practise?

Hi, I observed that at NCPS (which is one I applying) and TNS, the no of vacancies in 2010 is same as 2009, while the other schools in the region have lowered their intake (maybe due to fewer children born in 2003). I wonder if the SHHK has influence on the total no of intake in those schools? If so they might have wanted it that way as a way to help the members?

I didn't check the other schools under SHHK though.

ya, my husband fainted :shock: when i told him wan to shift within 1km of TN.

He sae too exp.

U can refer to this website to check on property prices and it also shows whether the property u intend to buy is with 1km of the primary school

Actually the HDB flat around there is expensive not mainly becoz of TNS but also because it is near the beach (with units facing the sea) and it is very convenient.


There are some apartments around still road area and upper east coast area that is also within 1km of TNS… probably not as exp due to property age. But it’s a matter of individual preference and budget.

most of the HDB 5 rm at the area selling abt 500k++

3 rm also need at least 400k.. if u wan to c the sun, the moon, the star and women wearing bikini in the beach haha no harm buying!
If buying an exp house just to stay close to TN but yet in the end we cant get in, we r going to :stupid:
