I saw this book too. It cover 27 or 28 chapters (can't remember) with abour 39 -40 questions each chapters. The answer key also provide explanation follow by the correct choice.

I went popular this afternoon too.

Bought the everyday science. Very easy reading, something like young scientist magazine. My dd finished it in less than 30 minutes.
Must prompt her to re-read another day. I'm usually quite skeptical, with her speed reading how many % is retained

Sleepy - which outlet did you go to? As mentioned by Janet, there are only 14 vopies left so I thought of Going to the one that has the copy to take a :peekaboo:

Oh so, the New Ultimate Science Guide Assessment Book on MCQ is only for PSLE? Haha..then I will \"save $$\" need not invest to get for DD1 lioa...Unless they have one for Lower Block, then I will go look see look see this Saturday. :lol:

This book is for levels P3-6.
I don't think this book just solely on MCQ is useful. However, IF this book is on open-ended questions, I will definitely get it...bcos the answers are what we want the kids to remember, esp key words.

Very very "last minute holding buddha leg" as my daughter tutor just fly kite on me to take up a permanent job and I have to coach my girl instead.

Read through the thread and just bought the following during lunch today :
EPH - Science Companion by Renee Chong
EPH - Ultimate Science Guide recommended by school.

Hopefully it helps my girl in grasping the concept.

By the way, I do not understand why some parents feedback that science must answer in science language.

What do you mean by science language ?

[/quote]This book is only tested on MCQs...so you may want to consider, even though MCQs make up 60 marks.

What do you mean by science language ?

'Science Language' means answering to questions with key words, no need for perfect grammar.

For eg. State 1 difference between the fern and the mushroom.
Answer: The fern makes its own food but the mushroom feeds on dead animals and plants.

If you refer to past year exam papers section B, slowly you will grasp the meaning of 'Science Language'. :celebrate:

Hello...my legs carry me to Popular again....


Actually, I went there with a motive - DD1's teacher dished out a lot of Science worksheets (both MCQ & OE) as homework yesterday and today ....Took a look at the Questions and find them very \"chim\" (at least to me lah:oops: ) so decided to go Popular do a \"search\" as I have the gut feeling that those questions are random pick from Assessment Books :lol:

Whoa! Found treasures lor ! Haha..not exactly but stood at Popular to comb thru those assessment books and found that some MCQ questions were taken from the following assessment book that I have been hesitate to purchase :roll:

SO you know next?? Buy lor and bring home to study the answers so tonite I can coach DD1 with the tons of worksheets :lol:

The OE questions are mostly taken from Science Process Skills so at least I am \"safe\" :lol:....

Sigh.....I feel like as if I am back into Poly life - where I need to carry a few guide books with me to supplement my lecture notes :!: ...Science is really driving me crazy :nosebleed:

Hi Champion,

You made a good choice…this Science book you bought is not bad…yes it may be difficult at first but when you read and understand after that, it’s ok and interesting.
I bought this both upper block and lower block for Learning Science and also Process Skills to expose son to more OE questions.
