Hi, my child from mainstream also rec no news yet, will not place much hope becos her classmates in the top 2 positions have already been called and sat for the GAT last weekend. Another friend from GEP has rec call last week confirmed a place directly in NYGH, dont need GAT or interview. Have told my girl not to be discouraged, DSA is like that, anyway no matter what she still needs to sit for her PSLE. Hope your child will rec the invitation.
Hi ppl thanks...for the info
1.
She has gone for the GAT 2 wks ago...no news yet from NYGH...but i check school's FAQ website..its says interview if necessary...so its not very clear.
2.
Yup... no matter what i think i shd not be too caught up by this DSA outcome..sigh..anyway u're right ...no matter..still hv to take PSLE. luckily this is the one sch she went for DSA... so didnt really take up too much of her time. -

They did say they'll only be conducting the interview from 27-31 July. I don't think you can really conclude if it's better to be called for interview or not because if you're called for an interview you still stand a chance at being offered a place. On the other hand, if you haven't been called for an interview it could either mean you've been given a confirmed place or rejected. So it's hard to say. Just wait for their call or email. Good luck!Hi ppl thanks...for the info

Is there any link that demosnstrates the content of Eng/Maths/Sci and GA tests. Also, are there any practise books anyone can recommmend for Eng/Maths/GATklim:
Not exactly. Diff schools set diff exam. They do have Maths, Sci and others.
I think you are confusing the GAT with other tests.
The GAT is solely a non-verbal abstract test of patterns/puzzles, lasting only about 1 hour.
The schools that require Eng/Math/Sci/GA are not just GAT tests. For those, the GAT is only a part of the test. These test take around 3 hours bc there are 3 papers to take.

Hi, just happened to chance upon the site. Know of this learning centre at Clementi offering general ability course. It promotes the acquiring of such skills for self improvement so that at the higher levels our kids can cope with their tedious studies. Has a friend from Nanyang Pri who sends her kid there. She told me her son loves to attend the lesson. If not mistaken, should be The Learning Quotient http://www.learningq.com.sg. Have been wanting to send my son but he is quite packed. Probably later part of the year.
