Nonya outfit for little girls is more difficult to find than adult's. I just bought one for my girl. You can try the following outlets:

          (1) SUSAN BATIK HOUSE Blk 32, 02-1106 New Market Rd People's Park (珍珠巴刹)or Unit #01-109 Chinatown Market (牛车水巴刹)

          (2) TOKO ALJUNIA 95 Arab St

          (3) TANJONG KATONG shopping centre

I bought from Susan Batik House. They can alter the outfits immediately for you if required. As for the beaded slippers, you may try at chinatown.

It’s not compulsory to wear kebaya, right? Other traditional costumes are okay too? My DD hasn’t mentioned anything yet…and it’s next Tuesday.

Any ethnic costume will do. haha my gal has been wearing the cheongsam fo r the past 3 yrs, so the kebaya might be a refreshing change. It'll be interesting to see how the rowdy-ruff her behaves in a feminine outfit

I wonder if a Korean one will do. Don't really have any other options for now and not even sure if she needs one since no notice from her school yet. Hmm...maybe today. I'm just glad she won't have PE that day cos I dunno how she's going to manage not \"destroying\" the outfit while changing. 😓 I wonder if she'll be allowed to wear heels for a day. I've seen students wearing wonderful ethnic costumes but paired with dirty school shoes! :faint:

Yup Korean hanbok is an ethnic costume too… after all, there are Korean students in Singapore schools too. I have seen students wearing the traditional hanbok to school for Racial Harmony Day and they look really cute in it!
