aspire hub has a very small team of teachers who are good (and they are very thinly spread since the company seems to be suddenly opening a number of branches all over singapore) and the rest are really just warm bodies… so it’s really up to one’s luck if you get a good, mediocre or even downright lousy tutor.

The teaching’s done round robin style and there’s no real central resources unit so, the quality of results really depends on the quality of the tutors.
Students go into class and let the tutor know which topic they want help in and they are assigned relevant questions to do while the tutor then goes around to help other students before coming back to check on them. So, essentially, you are paying for 2hours but only about an hour at most, of attention.
They may claim 1-6 ratio but I’ve heard of tutors conducting a class with 9 pupils in one time slot…

            Beastquest:
I am looking for Chinese and English tuition services near our neighborhood and it just so happen that Aspire Hub opened a new centre near our place.

If it is Beauty World Centre you are referring to, you can try Jing Cai @ lvl3 for CL compo. My elder boy is attending sec 2 CL tuition with Tr Li Liang.

There is also a EL centre (also inside Beauty World Centre) operated by a ex-teacher. Did not remember its centre name. Think it is opp. Goodnews Learning Centre.

              Hi Jennifer

Are u referring to Mdm Tan's Complete English? The compo and compre classes are all FULL, has to be on wait list. Is it really gd as it seems to be the only popular english centre in Beauty World and Shopping Centre.

my nieces Pri 3s are there doing math

before they enrol they went for a paid trial & find it value for money
so far not bad & class size is small
their materials quite good and useful
but still depend on the children

oh english classes then i am not sure as they only taking math there

& from what i understand, the fees are chrg by term basis
so if u really want to try out, i think go for the trial 1st is better
at least if your child dont like then wont waste so much money

                        Hi Jennifer,

MdmTan Complete English Centre was run by an ex-school teacher by the name of Mdm Tan. She is a meticulous, patience & caring teacher which inspired the child with creative teaching.

Her class will never be boring but feel with excitement. My son was with her since P4 to P6 and his enjoying & keen to attend her class in regardless of how tired he is.

His was weak with his structure sentence in his composition but with her guidance & help he had shown great improvement. Her compo & compre class will never be boring as she will create a lot of creepy, funny & attractive storey to teach the child on their composition writing.
I will highly recommend her to you.

Your child will definitely gain a lot from her as I learnt a lot from her too. She will give feedback to the parent & how to guide the child thru & boost up their confidence level.

                        Cheers,
                        Spontanous1 mom
