      pinky:
this is attempted murder and harsh punishment must be meted out :x :x :x :x

really heart-breaking to hear that \"a mother\" could do such a sinful act.
i believe the mother of the child will be caught very very soon......

The mother who buried her baby alive must be out of her mind! Babies are so precious and there are so many couples out there trying so hard to conceive but in vain, yet here she is trying to get rid of her baby! :x :x

Thank goodness the baby’s still alive.

Most probably case of unwanted or undetected pregnancy and need to find quick way out :x ......teenager, domestic worker......similar \"abandonment\" cases have been reported before. Don't know what these mothers are thinking when they do something so horrid  :!:

Sad for the poor baby 😢 .....but it is fated he is saved and alive  !

If there is an organisation which welcomes unwanted new borns and later offer them for adoption while safegaurding the anonymity of the biological mother, this kind of cruel act can be avoided, isn’t it?

Is there some such thing in place? Sorry I’m quite blur.

Yes, I have read that there is such a home where the mothers-to-be are cared for and their babies offered for adoption later on.

It is really sad that some mothers can bear to kill their unwanted babies or take their innocent child/children with them when they commit suicide 😢

ya, i was so shocked to read this in the papers this morning!

I knew there would be a discussion here, so I came in here.

I am so so glad the baby is fine now. Amazing that the baby has such will to live! Still can cry when the mouth is "full of soil" like what the retiree said when he found the baby.

Thankful that he decided to still go and check it out even though his friend said it was probably a "toy".

A lessons to learn from this incident:
If you have a hunch or a 6th sense that something is wrong, you should follow your intuition and check it out. In this case, he saved a life!

If I see the mother I will give her a tight slap!

                    :x :x :x :x :x :x

I couldn’t bear to read the full story. I cannot comprehend what went through the mother’s mind. My heart is breaking for the little one…
