The MC guide is widely regarded as the must-get among my friends.

As I was loitering around, couldn't help but overhear some bit and pieces of their conversation. They sound like teachers/tuition teachers and basically 2 of them were recommending others to get the MC guide as they are using it for their students. I saw the other 3 buying it.

I was told the MC guide is printed in booklists of some schools as a 'must buy' guide. Got that one first...as usual couldn't resist not getting the Ultimate one. The MC guide sells very well.

My cupboard is taken up by the lower block Science presently. Even when son finishes his PSLE next year 2012, I still want to keep them for few more years.

Oh, so certain schools already have that under the booklist? That is good - at least \"compulsory item\" then can use as a supplement to Textbooks.

Yea, Janet - I trying to free up some spaces ...DD1's cabinet is for storing her story books and those assessment books that she uses frequently. I also prefer the Science Guide and Assessment Books be with me so I can just grab them at arm's length and start reading them like a story book. :lol: Yes, guess I will keep the Science Materials until probably my DD2 in PSLE in Y2017! :!: Oh dear, I still have a little baby boy who is barely coming to 2 YO later part of this year.....can keep so long??? :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

HI Champion,

I was looking at MC guide one day and a helpful Popular employee asked me if I have the book. She told me some students buy it bcos it’s indicated in their booklists, like ‘Science Explorer’ by Tan Li Ling.

As for freeing up space, I really need to spring-clean end of this year. Those frequently used assessment and guide books are on the shelves. My younger one is in P1, so I will keep a while to see what’s new when she goes to P3…not so far away. Shouldn’t have too many changes, I hope.

By now you should probably have gone through portion on Diversity in the Ultimate book. Then based on this ‘knowledge’, you can flip through MC guide to see if it is useful.

Check with you - has your child finish the syllabus Diversity? My DD1 will only be tested till the topic \"Bacteria & Fungis\"; Material will be moved to Term 3 (probably due to insufficient time)

I just looked thru the E-mail from Science T - it seems that for P3 the themes they are covering will be \"Diversity\", \"Cycles - Cycles in Plants & animals (Life Cycle) & \"Interactions\" (Magnets).

I understand that every school teaches the theme & topics differently and thus Science T did advise us to be careful when giving the past year exam papers for child to practise ...

My child's school is quite slow. They have not finished Bacteria & Fungis yet. Materials together with Magnets will be under SA2. The rest of the 3 topics for lower block will be next year. Seems like next year will be a big rush.
