My neighbour’s son got plentium in SMOPS 2011. His Chin, Eng and Sci only 80+, can he has chance to secure a place in Hwa Chong in DSA phrase 1? Pls advice. Thanks.

Yes, should be DSA Phase 1. But doesn't mean phase 1 is higher chance to get confirmed offer. HCI only releases the offers at the end of both phases.

Yes, I think he will secure a chance to go for DSA in Phase 1. But whether will secure a place in HCI will depend on his performance in DSA test and interview.

Yes, should be DSA Phase 1. But doesn't mean phase 1 is higher chance to get confirmed offer. HCI only releases the offers at the end of both phases.

I read before that Platinum, Gold and Silver will be entitled to go for HCI DSA Phase 1. Phase 1 does not mean higher chance, as it consists of GEP and Sports in addition to these as well. However, I should think allocation of spaces to Phase 1 maybe more than Phase 2 which is for all other P6 students (just logical deduction as this group has more qualifications). Please correct me if I am wrong.

i think the boy with smops platinum will be exempted from the DSA math test if he applies for HCI DSA under phase 1, but he must still go through the other DSA tests


overall the platinum holder has a good chance in HCI

Heard in one of DSA thread that platinum holder has direct entry to NUSH and camp fee wavied. Is it still true? It seems smops platinum does not help in RI DSA.
