Hi EatNonStop, can u give me the recipe for your chendol agar agar pls? I love chendol.  [/i]

      Put water(500ml), palm sugar(160gram) & pandan leaves (about 3-4
) into a pot. Bring to boil till sugar dissolves. Add agar agar powder (1 packet 12gram). Boil for 1 min. Remove pandan leaves.
Mix salt (abt 1/4tsp) with coconut milk ( 300ml) and add into pot. Bring to boil. Place chendol (a small packet of 300ml) and kidney beans into small moulds.Scoop agar agar mixture into moulds and leave to set in fridge[/quote

      Hi eatnonstop,
Me too, love anything chendol. May I ask a very silly question, what is this agar-agar powder, n what how does that small packet of chendol look like? Can I find them in cold storage or ntuc? Do i need to boil or steam the kidney beans first n for how long? Thanks a mil.

As for the kidney beans, i think we need to cook it first.

You can get the chendol & Kidney beans (in a can) at majority supermarket like SengSiong, NTUC or Cold storage.

I bought the Chendol at Sengsiong (a 300ml packet for abt 80-90cents) wash till no longer green color. The ready to use.
I bought the kidney beans at Phoon Huat ( a can about $1+), just scoop out the beans and discard the water.

Enjoy making the agar agar ๐Ÿ˜„

                EatNonStop,

Thanks. Chendol refers to that "green green" thing, isnโ€™t it?
