      Hi

May I know anyone's child here is in P2 Hope?

MINE is in P2Hope. I'm a \"just a few minutes old NEWBIE\" here, joined this group cos my friend saw your post and asked if I would like to link up with you.

We can get in touch here perhaps, or privately if you prefer 😄

Like to check I am staying infront of EFPS is it mean I have priority in 2C?

        or if 2C have 100 seat, 50 within 1km 51 more than 1km. Do I need to

        ballot?

Sorry I'm probably not the best person to reply, cos I'm not exactly sure how the system works, but as far as I know, for the past several years, I haven't heard anyone who had wanted to but couldn't get into Edgefield Pri. (I even know people who missed the actual registration but still got it)

Possibly someone else can help with the know-hows of the mechanics of the balloting system?

As far as I know everyone under 1km will get the same priority. For example, if 100 seats are there and 110 children have registered. Out of 110 children 90 stay within 1km and the remaining 20 stay within 1km and 2km radius. Priority is given to the children who stay within 1km so all the 90 children will get the seats. For the remaining 10 seats the 20 students(who stay within 1km-2km) have to ballot. But there is no balloting history till now for this school so don't worry you may not have to ballot especially because you stay within the 1km radius.

This school provides a stress-free environment for the children. Not much homework. No noticeable effort to push the academic quality to a higher level. Something like - \"hey, why ask your ds or dd to attempt higher mother tongue, normal should be ok liao lah.\"

World of different if you ever pick up some past years paper of other schools and do a comparison. please don't panic, tuition centres are readily available in punggol. Please enrol sooner than later. 😄

not 99% of my ds class said they have tuition - it is 100%.

Did the educational minister said: 'I want to assure you that over the next few years, we will continue to build an education system where it doesn't mean you have to be rich, or that your child has to have tuition, (but where) if he works hard, he will succeed. I wonder how many of these ministers ds and dd are in neighbourhood school. :?

I guess the day will not come till your ds or dd finished their psle. :celebrate:

last level liao, a bit too late for me to realize the vast differences in standard.
Hence looking4tutor in the last minutes. :?:

I guess some schools are designed and destined to fill up the N level and ITE spaces.

All schools are equal but some are more equal. :?

In order for your child to equalize with the more equal - please do your child a favour by encouraging them to study and buy the more equal right through tuition centre.
Yes, don't forget to go for higher mother tongue, if you do hope your child to go for a more equal secondary school.

well, if an ITE education via N level is good enough for a bright career future than don't worry so much. let us :celebrate: and be happy.

Thinking of registering my girl in this school this year due to the convenience of having a study care centre inhouse. Can anyone share some views on the SCC ? Do the teachers really check their school work daily and how’s the environment there ?

If u have alternative choice pls dun choose this Sch. They only know how to ad with students credit whereby some of the teacher r irresponsible in coaching the children’s especially those r weak in some subjects. They focus only of getting credit but neglect student studies! They hired allot inexperience n or u will hear fr ur child teacher today nvr come again … Despite complaining no action seen n done ! If children without own private tutor outside school, good luck to them unless u really have the time to coach them again. As for studentcare, they won’t teacher ur child so forget abt after Sch someone there to guild over their school works again just a rough surface advise…
