P1 swap space

My daughter is still young (4) now .


I stay in the East and i believe she can enter a popular school in central Area via phase 2A. I am thinking if there is a possibility of an arrangement that i can swap place with a willing parent who stay in central but his child is enrolled in a popular school in the east.

Any parents done that b4 ?

I doubt that MOE or the schs will allow you to do that, even if willing parties are found cos otherwise, other parents may request to do the same which will cause unfairness. For example, what if there is only one vacancy at sch A but two vacancies at sch B with both parents at sch B wanting to swap with the parent at sch A? You can’t use balloting cos it’s unofficial. MOE will be criticised. Also, popular schs will also have official waiting lists and schs and MOE will give priority to the students (and their parents) on the waiting lists.

You have mentioned ur dd can enter the school via P2A. If you have priority under P2A, I think the school will not care how is the distance from ur house. Ur problem is distance 'to & fro' from school rite ?
