      zhizunbao:
Hi I just moved to West Coast Rise, is looking for the following for my 1yr old boy in West Coast/Pandan Garden/Teban Garden/Clementi/Pasir Panjang area:

      1. Playgroup before he is 18mth old. Any gd playgroups in this area accepting 1yr old kids? I called Apple Tree, but they accept min 2yr old kids.

      2. Childcare since he's 18mth old. I noticed there are Cherie Hearts at West Coast Rise and Moden Montessori at West Coast Creation Center. Any comments on these 2 and other recommendation? My preference, while not compulsory, is non-full-airconditioning with outdoor facilities/yard for my kid to play and communicate with peers.
Hi zhizunbao, i stay along west coast rise too. My boy is 19months old now, i have been scouting around for childcare. Cherie Hearts West Coast is a bit rundown, but the teachers and principal look friendly and caring. I dont think it is airconditioned but i heard bad reviews about the place so it isnt my first choice if possible.

MMI at West Coast is also fairly rundown, though it has a big outdoor area.

If you prefer newer environment, check out Learning Vision at Alpha or IBP. But it's air-conditioned.

hi , add on to you request : childcare

There are Pats school house in Jubilee Rd, Learning vision at science park pasir panjang rd, Kids space at pasir panjang, Mind champs at maple centre at pasir panjang.
If u wan 2h playgroup maybe you can try Star tots Playgroup
        http://www.edufarm.com.sg/playgroup.htm
My son used to go to the one at the strathmore Ave the teachers are v caring n good. But different centre different centre so might have different. 😉

Thanks, Fion. Unfortunately, Star tots playgroup also cater for min 18mth, but my son is only 12mth. 😢

If your son is only 12 mths, u need to look for an infant care centre. I have not heard of any centers along west coast providing infant care. Perhaps the ones at science park may have.

There’s a new Cherie Hearts @ Science Park I offering infant care…heard from my friend that it is pretty nice and offers a clean environment for infants to play and interact with the teachers and others

Hi, I’m looking for Childcare around these areas too.

Any mummies have good recommendation for CCC with good curriculum and environment? I’ve checked out Agape Little Uni at One-North, I like the environment and curriculum very much but the fees are a bit on the high side. My budget it around $700-$800 after subsidy.

                Thanks in advance!

                    Hi,

I am staying in Clementi area.

A note on Kidspace Pasir Panjang Childcare: It offers infant care service, my boy was there since 2 months old. But I was not happy with the principal due to some issues. In 2010, My First Skool opened 2 new branches in Clementi which offered infant care service and I switched my boy to MFS when he is 9 months old, no regrets as my boy was much happier in MFS and even put on weight!

He is with MFS for 1 and 1/2 years, now in the Toddler class. I am looking around for another CC because I feel that MFS curriculum is not up to my expectation. Although overall I am really happy with MFS but still think that I should switch him to another CC with better curriculum… (Sighzz)

Have shortlisted the below for viewing(still adding some in the process):
                    - LV at Fusionpolis (visited the school, overall impression was ok, still prefer to look around 1st)
                    - Creative O at Creative Technology
                    - Town for kids at West Coast
                    - Mindchamps at fusionpolis (Most probably will not sign up because the price is too steep but no harm visiting)

I would like to check is the traffic along Sunset way bad in the morning? I have not consider CC at Sunset Way due to the traffic and it is actually quite out of the way as we are staying in Clementi central.

                      Hi xhmummy,

How much was the fee at Agape Little Uni at One-North? I visited the centre when I was preggy. Now thinking of visit the centre again. IIRC, they have a swimming pool right?

                        Hi Pastries,

The fee at Agape little Uni @One-North is $1284 before subsidy. They have a swimming pool in the building which the children get water play once a week. This place is rather conducive but I find that their fee is steep :moneyflies: . On top of the fee mentioned above, you still need to top up $130+ for packet milk as they don't encourage N1 and above kids to be bottle fed and additional $60 (IIRC) for enrichment classes like Speech n Drama (English).

Due to budget constrain, I'm looking for cheaper alternative but don't wanna compromise too much on the curriculums as I want my son to be well prepared for P1.

Hope other mummies/daddies can help to give more advise. TIA! :grphug:
