      Hi all,

My girl is in P1E and also have very little homework and stress.

My friend's boy who is in Catholic High, perpetually comes back with lots of homewk to do. His show and tell is 200-300 words??

Hopefully, soon our girls will get the momentum and be ready for the real work out there! Other children are getting more homework.. hmmm.. makes me wonder which is better?

Let her enjoy the honeymoon during P1/2. Come to P3 they will have a lot of homework.

My DD asked for pocket money again. But I don’t want to give her.

I gave my DD pocket money for a period. She spent all her money everytime. She bought snacks during recess time. When she was back to home, she did not want to eat her lunch due to her school snacks. So I stopped her pocket money.

I have to re-visit this issue as my DD ask for money again. How should I do?..

Snacks frm the vending machine or snacks like nuggets? How much do u give her? I notice the younger kids tend to go for the vending machine very often, but they do cool offf after a while... I guess its ok to hv snacks but after she has had a proper meal frm the tuck shop. Your lunch can be delayed till mid afternoon or when she gets hungry.
I dont think its a good idea to stop her pocket money, this may lead to her borrowing or feeling deprived.

My princess used to spend all her money on snack and ask for additional money when her allowance runs out… i didnt give her extra… therefore she has learn to bear the consequences now i give her one term of allowance and she is managing it well…

RGPS is under Tanjong Pagar GRC, not under Bukit Timah.

Yah i think not so good to stop completely as she may end up borrowing. My dd likes to buy the bottled peach drink or lemon tea which is quite exp. So i told her those drinks are not nutritious, and she can only buy once a week. Then sometimes she said she lent money to her friends, dunno true or not also. Quite difficult to monitor actually.

ya lor, some parents badly affected! They had been doing rc work for the past 2.5 to 3 years under one grc ... only to discover now that their ideal primary school suddenly come under another grc. So bang ! :stupid:
