3. waffles (ready pack from supermarket)
4. pan cakes (ready pack from supermarket)
5. egg mayo sandwich
6. kaya/jam bread
7. bacon and egg
8. hot dog & egg
I am curious to find out what breakfast have you been preparing for your kids?
Cheers

For the past few weeks, it has been:
1) Fried Egg Sandwich
2) Hard Boiled Sandwich
3) Fried Macaroni/Noodles with egg (in black sauce, fish sauce & tomatoe sauce)
4) Steam homemade dumplings + 1 piece of bread
All the above goes with Organic Rice Milk + Manuka Honey -
This is good. My son currently in N2, refuse to take his breakfast, just one glass of milk and we put some snacks (which is supposed to be his breakfast) like sandwich, bread & jam, biscuits, etc in a box so that he could take it in the school. He is with St James so only 3 hrs (8.15-11.15) but then every day comes back with un-touched breakfast. Really run out of idea what to do with him. His stomach goes empty until lunch time, by the time reach home almost 12 noon. would like to see whether I can explore some variety of interesting breakfast menu and whether he would be interested to eat. Maybe too bored with bread!

Give these a try:
1) peanut butter or nutella top off with sliced banana
2) cereal, milk and sliced fruits
3) steamed radish cake or yam cake with oyster sauce -
Thanks Poonie,
This is something new I have not tried. Will give it a try and see how? You see I just got a phone call again that my son did not touch his breakfast. He has to call me everyday to report to me, so if he does not eat his breakfast, the punishment is he does not get to sleep with me at night.
Really scratching my head what to do. Early in the morning, finishing one glass of milk is already challenging! -
1. chee cheong fun
2. char siew bao
3. cream soup (chicken, corn, mushroom) with bread
4. 1/2 boiled eggs with bread
5. yogurt with fruits
6. congee -
Moms and Dads, got to share that should avoid regular consumption of bacon, sausages, ham, hot dogs and such. These items contain high level of nitrates as preservatives, sodium and fat. Not exactly the suff that you want to consume in quantities.
Even things like cereal, they contain high level of sugar, which gives a sugar high and when its over your child will experience sleepiness due to the dip in energy level.
White bread is another item to be avoided, cos its almost "empty" calories. Especially when its with jam, another sugar loaded item.
Previously, I do not consciously look into these things when I prepare a meal, as long as theres veg, protein and carbo combination. Recently during my health check, I was shocked to find out that my blood sugar is borderline and my blood pressure is high enough to warrant medication. After going for further tests and nutrition consultation, I started to be more conscious of whatever I put into my mouth. Its during the nutrition consultation that I really learned about food nutrients in raw or cooked form.
