No affect for my daughter, she will attend NUSH on 25 July 2009, but my friends's affected, they will choose either HCI or NUSH, RGS or NUSH.wmd, why do you think the clash in test dates is intentional?
Is your child affected by the clash in dates? Which one is she going for? -
Hi wmd, has your daughter gone for the half day selection test at RGS already?

My daughter did not be called for interview by NYGH, one her classmate is called for interview, but I am sure that my daughter can get a confirmed place from NYGH by end of August. During APMOPS competition on 29 May 2009, NYGH DSA teacher said that all SMOPS platimum or gold award winner are welcome to NYGH, but still need to attend GAT, once passed GAT, surely, they will give a confirmed place. in other words, those SMOPS winners do not need to attend interview, I think. -
wmd:
Oh, ok. Any idea how many girls are there in this year's SMOPS platimun & gold awardees list? With around 150 GEP girls, xx SMOPS awardees and yy Sports/CCA DSA-successfu candidates, I wonder how many places are there left for the rest of those who applied via Academics.Hi Fairy,

Just received an email from RGS:
Dear Parents,
(this email has been sent in bcc)
We would like to invite your daughter to Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) for an interview on Mon 3 Aug, 2.30pm.
In order to allow your daughter to be comfortable and perform well in an interview, she will be in the company of two other applicants to be interviewed by a panel of 2 interviewers. The interview session will take about half an hour.
Please be assured that your daughter will be given equal opportunities to be heard by the interviewers. Please encourage her to respond to questions posed as sincerely and spontaneously as possible. There is no need for her to present any prepared speech.
On the day of the interview, please report at the Foyer for temperature-taking. After taking your temperature, please proceed to Block D Level 1, Needlework Room 1. Your daughter is to come in her school uniform.
If you are driving, please note that the school gate will only be open from 4.00pm, so there will not be any parking in the school compound. This is to minimize vehicular traffic during peak periods. You may drop your daughter at the kerbside along Anderson Road, where the main school gate is.
Please reply this email to confirm your attendance. Remember to indicate your daughter's name in the reply. Please try not to request for a change in date/time of the interview as we are working on a tight schedule.
Thanks for your attention!
Regards,
RGS Admissions
