        There were 280 people at the concert. 1/4 of the males and 1/5 of the females wore glasses. Given that a total of 60 people wore glasses in the concert, how many female wore glasses?

            [quote=\"fxchow\"]Hi All,

            Can anyone help on this question, thanks!

            Mdm Zheong packed some beads into 14 small boxes and 15 big boxes.
            There were equal number of beads in each small box and equal number of beads in each big box.
            Each big box contained 5 more beads than each small box.
            3/8 of the beads were packed in small boxes.
            How many beads were there in each small box?

              Hi, I need help with the following Qn:

              Prema, Tanya and Violette have 960 beads altogether. Prema gave some of her beads to Tanya and the number of Tanya's beads was doubled. Then Tanya gave some of her beads to Violette and the number of Violette's beads was doubled. If the 3 girls had the same number of beads in the end, how many beads did Prema have at first?

              Thanks a lot! πŸ˜„

                  Hi ksi,

                  There was an error. I think you deducted wrong; it should be 960-160-240 = 560. πŸ™‚

                  Prema had 560 beads at first

                        Please help me as my son’s exam is tomorrow. I still cannot solve the problem here.

                        Ken had three times as many apples as papays, After selling 160 apples and 25 papayas, he had twice as many papayas as apples left. How many fruits did he have at first?
