 Thanks RRMummy, been learning quite a bit as I have been calling the schools and also reading all posts rather carefully. Thanks for the wishes....I really would prefer CHIJ Bkt Timah, but sadly, its not going to materialize. By the way, I check with you. I am also watching Princess E and there are 104 places for 2C as confirmed by the school. I am within 1-2km. Even the clerk said i stand very high chances. What do you think?
Base on past history, http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bukit-batok, Princess E has balloting for <1km since 2006 to 2008. Though the scenario is improving each year, but what are likely left over for balloting for 1-2km this year? IMO, very risky.
Moreever base on my calculation, the vacancies for phase 2C in 2008 was 143 places as oppose to this year 104 places. The upside is this year the takeup rate is slower. -

Hmmmmm good point. Failed to look at last year's rate. Shall not be too happy then -

The thing is basing on past history is just a guide.

I also plan my strategy base on past history with maris stella. History says, Maris Stella phase 2B had never completely fill up, so I was pretty confident we would ge tit, a sure thing. Until yesterday result upset the historical trend with 99 applying for 98 places. But luckily, last heard there's no need fot balloting...
Good luck to whichever school you choose. -
