Hi schweppes,
For 3 - 4 pple, do u think the 18cm round french oven is too small? -
QuiteKSMum:
Personally, I think the 18cm dish is too small. Does not give ample space to roast a chicken if need be.Hi schweppes,

Can get either the 26cm or 29cm. Spoke to the salesperson and she recommended 29cm as can cook for up to 10pax and can roast a small turkey or whole chicken.
I got the 29cm dish as I wanted a bigger one, especially useful if I'm entertaining and have guests. Even when cooking for 4 pax, the contents in the dish do not look \"crowded\", unlike if u cook it in a 18cm pot. The pot is so rustic and pretty-looking, U can serve your meals directly from the pot. I bought the \"ang ang\" one. Everytime, I serve from the pot, I feel like I'm in Tuscany
Got mine at Isetan about 1 month ago - it was selling at $338 after 50% discount (and during the Istan promo, there was another 20% discount for members' promo). Find that it's better deal than Robinsons members' sale. The el cheapo me got some Isetan vouchers, so in the end, I think I only paid $100 for my casserole dish. :dancing:
Cooked coq au vin (chicken in white wine) last nite. Yumz  -
Was at Taka with my mum yesterday and she too was attracted to the LCs, until she tried lifting one of them. Haha. Then she started scolding, literally, scolding but no one in general lah. Went on and on, say so impractical, empty pot oredi so heavy, with food in it even heavier, ā¦
Had to pull her away from that area to stop her from her ranting. -
haha... ya, agree that the pot is h-e-a-v-y. And with all the contents in the dish, lagi heavier. but for Tuscany-feel ambience and setting :boogie: small (\"heavy\"??) price to pay lah

I am also interested to get the 29cm, but was put off by the price... -

Yess... yess.. the 50% discount promo price was $338, got another 20% discount for Isetan members (during their members' promo sale) and another 5% for the Isetan card rebate. So, in the end, the selling price after all the discounts was $257. Really a good deal

Agree that the original selling price was a turn-off  but with the discounts and my vouchers... just cd not resist. Decided to succumb to temptation
Uh... i also justify that it wd last a lifetime and felt less guilty after that. Ya.. right!!

Hi schweppes,
Went down to Robinsons today to see & feel the LC pans. They certainly look pretty ...did u notice those small masak masak looking ones?
You're right, the 18 cm is too small - not even a spring chicken could be put inside... The 29 cm looks ideal, not that big. Weight wise, I'm ok with it.
I didn't get one today .... have splurged on somethings on myself . BUT will definitely keep this pan as one of the things in my Kitchen Wishlist.

haha... know what u mean, like the cute cute, masak masak pots too. Anyway, u just reminded me, for the Isetan promo, those who bought the 29cm dish also received a free cocotte mini dish. So quite a good lobang that time. GSS coming soon, so maybe more good deals coming.Hi schweppes,

Have been getting too many kitchen gadgets too. Influenced by KSP.
Attempting to bring out the (un)domestic goddess in me. haha :preen:
