why Nan Chiau not in balloting list. as total registration is 79 vs 75 vacancies.. is it school give exception?? just curious?anyone know why?

That's a good question, got me puzzled too... but I'm sure the answer is NOT because the school arbitrarily \"gave exception\". It is possible that it is due to the presence of twins/triplets/etc in the cohort, but it seems to be an awful lot of multiple births to make up for those numbers.

At the end of Phase 2A, the no of places left was 148. If 50% goes to 2C, the no of places for 2B should be 74, so there could be 1 pair of twins?

My guess is, the total no of kids living within up to 2km were 75, so just nice. The remaining 4 could have been living outside 2km so have to go to phase 2C. Is this logical?

I know some school does give seats to kids in 2B under exception case. like some PVs who stay outsde 2km, sch still give, cos the schs recognize PV works.

That could be the case. In this sense then I think the principal is doing the right thing. This shows he recognises the effort of PV. Imagine people became PV and spent good efforts contributing to the school and in the end could not get in by a short distance. This reflects how he will treat his staff and students.

My twin boys are successful in 2B. The number of applicants exceeded the available vacancies by 1. I called the school and was told they treated twins as 1 application. In addition, I was also lucky that one parent dropped their child out of Phrase 2A.

In that case, it would have been flagged by MOE as a \"cut-off\" case, just as in the case of ACS Pri and CHIJ St Nicks'. No, it is something else.

if we do not witness the balloting done, how do we know whether our child has gotten in or not? how will the school inform all parents of who got in & who not? if ballot is on 11th aug, then parents who do not witness won't know right?? do parents call up school and ask after balloting time??? :?

Not necessary. Catholic High balloting at 2pm for 2B. I think the school will tell you what time.

The lady who answered the phone at CH commented that why I didn't know the balloting time since they already informed the parents. She didn't realised that I was being kaypo. 👅

Dear Baby2Momma: Hello ! We meet again in this thread.

Anyway, i also wants to know the answers. Of course, the school will inform you by post, but i think i cannot wait, what if lost mail? if die then die faster. I rather to go to witness or perhaps they will post in internet or else where
