Excellent post. Thanks Strparent. Just a quick reminder that this thread is meant for parents to talk about the issues that they would like their new government to focus on. It should no longer be about who should be in the government because the people have already decided, and no amount of ranting can change this fact for the next half decade.

A reminder to all who are passionate abt this thread.

        Hi

Holding a branded bag is materialism. Having a cheerful smile on face is childish. Having speak tie is incapability… Should we be more mature to comment the others? Actually, we should sit and see how well the little girl be. I think she will show us her ability with action.

I find it so depressing that so many will eat up anything negative or slightly scandalous that anyone have to say about PAP or anything remotely related to PAP but when clarification is given, not even a benefit of a doubt is given.

            Funz,

I share your sentiments. There was very little constructive debates from the respective supporters raised objectively on the issues that surfaced. Targeting how much TPL will earn is not going to help Singapore in anyway on the global stage in terms of stability, economic growth and investor interests (consider the spill over and ripple effects).

Social media shakes up Singapore political terrain

              http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_singapore/view/1128130/1/.html

\"...Popular blogger Lee Kin Mun, who runs the satirical site mrbrown.com, said the PAP was not used to the spontaneous, two-way communication in social media.

\"They have full control of the media here, so you've got mainstream media, papers and TV stations and radio stations toeing the line for you and disseminating your views, your spin to the public,\" he told AFP.

\"Now you can't be shielded any more... You tell people to 'like' you on your Facebook page, I will 'like' just to go in there and say something I don't like about you,\" he added....\"

Moral of the story? Don't anyhow add friends or ask people to 'like' your facebook page?

Do you agree with the writer's point? Do you think social media is anti-PAP?
